Project Overview:
Like many municipalities, the City of Chicopee had an old, outdated website that no longer served their needs. They were not happy with off-the-shelf systems they had looked at, and came to us for a custom solution.
The website is designed to be very user-friendly. A minimal design minimizes distraction and allows for fast page loading. The site also fulfills, and goes beyond, standard accessibility requirements. We build all of our sites to be accessible, but in this case the need was even more important as the site serves all city residents which is a very broad and varied audience.
We gave them a robust and scalable CMS; totally customized to their needs; user-friendly for even the most non-technical city department employees. Each department has a unique login so they can update their department information, news, calendar, upload documents, add new pages as needed, even add a photo gallery!
